Guest Stories

Loved by Families, Friends, and First-Time Riders

Hereโ€™s what guests are saying about their El Kabayo horseback riding experience.

"We will definitely be back."

"We availed their 2-hour trail ride (walk-in) for โ‚ฑ3,750, unfortunately it rained while we were just on our 30 minutes of riding. Even though it rained, sir JR and Joseph still managed to let us experience and enjoy the ride. They were very kind and we exchanged stories while riding, making the experience all the more memorable, and taking away the nervousness felt when horseback riding.

They were kind enough to tell us exactly when the weather conditions were beyond what the horses could tolerate, yet they still made us feel that the time riding was worth it by bringing us to a nice trail with two river crossings. They also taught us the proper positioning especially while trotting. You can also tell that their horses are well-trained and easy to handle.

We will definitely be back sometime (hopefully in good weather) and avail their horseback riding lessons :)"

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Browse answers to the most common questions about our rides, safety guidelines, and what to expect when you visit El Kabayo Horseback Riding.

What are your rates?

Our rates are not usually posted publicly. For the latest ride prices and package details, please contact us directly by phone, text, or message so we can share the most up-to-date information.

How long is the ride?

Ride duration depends on the option you choose. We offer 15-minute, 30-minute, and 1-hour rides, while our trail rides typically last around 2โ€“3 hours, depending on the route and conditions.

Where does the ride take us?

Your route depends on the ride length. A 15-minute ride goes around the facility field, 30 minutes takes you on a mini trail near the picnic grounds, 1 hour explores nearby green fields with a possible creek crossing, and trail rides may visit the Calamansi plantation, bunkers, or the Sacobia riverbed.

Can we ride alone?

Each rider is mounted individually on their own horse. For safety, our guides assist and accompany you throughout the ride to help manage the horse and ensure a comfortable experience.

Can a child ride with a parent?

Two riders on one horse are generally not encouraged. If a second rider is truly needed, the safest option is for the guide to ride as the second person, as they are skilled and very familiar with the horse.

What is the weight limit?

Weight limit details are provided on our information sheet. Please refer to the attached or separate weight guide, or contact our team directly so we can advise you based on your chosen ride and horse availability.

Can we ride without experience?

Yes, beginners and non-experienced riders are very welcome. Our team and guides will assist you before and during the ride, helping you feel comfortable and safe around the horse.

Do you offer riding lessons?

Yes, we offer horseback riding lessons. Full details, including lesson formats and rates, are available on our rate sheet or by contacting our team directly for the latest information.

What should we wear?

We recommend closed shoes, pants, and a comfortable top. It can be very sunny, so it is best to wear clothing that offers sun protection while still keeping you cool during your ride.

Do you rent riding apparel or boots?

No, we do not offer riding apparel or boots for rent at the ranch. Please come in appropriate footwear and clothing for your comfort and safety.

Can we gallop?

Galloping is generally not allowed, except for riders whose skills are already known to our team. Horse gaits progress from walk to trot, canter, and gallop. Experienced riders may be allowed up to a controlled or collected canter after being screened inside the paddock, where our staff assess riding skills and safety.

Is horseback riding safe?

Horseback riding can be a very enjoyable activity, and safety is a shared responsibility. We provide safety measures, trained guides, and clear instructions, but accidents can still happen. Guests should be aware of the inherent risks that come with riding horses.
